McHenry County Department of Health Design Contest

As part of the “Big Tobacco” settlement, the Illinois Department of Public Health established the Tobacco-Free Communities grant. With the grant’s main focus of tobacco education and prevention, the McHenry County Department of Health chose a media design contest as a way to engage the high school population in finding new and creative ways of reaching their peers when it comes to tobacco prevention.

Now in its 14th year, the media contest is open to all high school and MCC students within McHenry county.

Students have the creative ability to showcase their artistic talent as they create a design around a tobacco prevention topic that changes from year-to-year.
