Cub Scout Fun Day

Join us for Cub Scout Fun Day on Saturday, Sept. 7th at the Hollows in Cary.
This event is open to all youth (boys and girls) in grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade and their families. Youth do not need to be enrolled as Cub Scouts to attend and we are accepting walk-ins the day of the event.
Cub Scout Fun Day is an action-packed event with fun activities for Cub Scouts and prospective Cub Scouts! All stations and activities are led by older Scouts from Troops around McHenry County. It’s an opportunity for Boys and Girls who are interested in Scouting to come and see the kinds of activities that we have to offer.
Activities include:
· Build and Race Lego Pinewood Derby Cars
· Decode Messages using Secret Codes
· Test your Aim at Slingshots
· Try your hand at Kid-sized Angry Birds
· Cross the Monkey Bridge
· Learn how to Successfully Build a Fire
· Uncover the Secrets of the Hollows on an Archaeology Hike
· Complete the Obstacle Course
· Test your Tent Pitching Skills
· Learn about Blacksmithing
Saturday, September 7th
8:00 am to Noon
The Hollows Conservation Area (3804 US-14, Cary, IL 60013)
Follow the signs to the Campground area in the back!
BONUS: Kona Ice will have their Hawaiian Shaved Ice truck onsite from 10am to Noon!
$10 per Cub Scout-aged youth (K-5th)
