Except where specifically mentioned in other major contest rules, the following are the established guidelines for all contests run in conjunction with Star 105.5.
- No purchase necessary.
- Contestants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Prizes are not transferable. Only the winner named on the prize sheet may obtain prize.
- Winners are responsible for all taxes and/or tips associated with winning, use, and consumption associated with prize.
- Photo ID is required to claim prize. Prizes may be claimed during business hours, Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, at Star 105.5 located at 8800 US Highway 14, Crystal Lake, IL. *Star 105.5 will not mail prizes under any circumstance.
- Employees and family members of Star 105.5, other radio companies and advertising agencies are not eligible to win.
- Social Security card and driver's license are required for cash prizes and for prizes in value over $250.
- Prizes are held for 30 days or until the last business day before an event date associated with that prize. Prizes not claimed after 30 days will be redistributed at Star 105.5's discretion.
- Star 105.5 assumes no responsibility for technical difficulties during station contesting, including but not limited to telephone malfunctions.
- Star 105.5 assumes no liability due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: prize provider going out of business or changing ownership, cancellation of event, out of stock or discontinued items, et al.
- All prizes are awarded "as is," are nontransferrable and cannot be exchanged.
- All prizes requiring reservations (such as airfare, lodging, shows or side attractions) must be done so by the winner unless otherwise advised by Star 105.5.
- By accepting a prize, winner consents to the use of their name, voice and likeness in on-air, web site, television or print promotion and advertising.
- Individuals may win ongoing contests once per HOUSEHOLD within any 30-day period from ANY Star 105.5 Crystal Lake station, except where noted otherwise. Individuals may win one-time or seasonal contests once every six months valued over $500.
- Star 105.5 of Crystal Lake reserves the right to cancel a contest/promotion or amend contest rules at any time. Any and all rule changes will be announced, and written copies made available at our offices, as soon as changes are made.
