McHenry County Sheriff's Police have arrested two Woodstock men and confiscated over a kilo of cocaine. Sheriff Keith Nygren says this is the result of an undercover narcotics investigation into cocaine sales in the Woodstock area. On March 22, members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, DEA, and Woodstock Police Department made two separate traffic stops in the Woodstock area and conducted a search warrant at the address of 1980 Julie Street, Woodstock.
As a result of this investigation, Sheriff’s deputies seized approximately 1,180 grams of cocaine (over one Kilo), 512 grams of cannabis, two digital scales, packaging materials, a Walther PPK .380 hand gun, ammunition, a 1994 Ford Mustang, a 1996 Plymouth Voyager, a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser, a 2003 Lincoln Navigator, a 2003 Ford F-150 Lightning, a 2004 Dodge Neon, a 2005 Honda CBR, and $13,831. Undersheriff Andrew Zinke says this was the result of excellent police work by the Sheriff's Police Narcotics Unit. The estimated street value of the drugs recovered is over 75-thousand dollars. Sheriff's Police arrested 46 year old Rafael Perez-Serrato of Woodstock, charging him with drug related offenses. His bond is 650-thousand dollars. Sheriff's Police have also arrested 31 year old Ismael Ayala of Woodstock on drug related charges. Bond is 300-thousand dollars.
