My mom's statue / Care 4 Breast Cancer 5K info

When someone passes away one of the last things on your mind is what will happen to all of their personal belongings. You are in shock, sad beyond words, and not sure what to do with yourself. You lean on family and hope that something will help the pain subside. There was just ONE THING that I really wanted after my mom passed. This statue. It was in my parents bedroom every since I could remember. A mother and child. Through the years and as an adult it was a mainstay in her bedroom.

It now sits on the dresser in my bedroom. In some weird way I feel like it watches over me. My children know the story and ask me in the cutest of voices: "Is that you and your mommy?" and I will tell them yes! That's what it means to me and one day I hope they will have it on their dresser too!
