St. Thomas More
1625 West Highland Ave
The Walk 5K for Caitlin is held in memory of Caitlin E. Weese, a 17 teen year old who was killed by a drunk driver in May 2003.
Her death occurred three weeks before her eighteenth birthday and one week before what would have been her graduation from Larkin High School.
In 2004 Caitlin's family started the Caitlin E. Weese Charitable Trust, a.k.a. Walk 5K for Caitlin.
Proceeds from this charitable organization funds a college scholarship to a Larkin High School student in memory of Caitlin, helps to support St. Thomas More School which graciously hosts the walk each year, and also supports the victim's assistance fund for the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM).
