Autumn Leaves of St. Charles - Virtual Dementia Experience

Nov 16, 2012 10:00am - 3:30pm

Autumn Leaves of St. Charles
10 N. Peck Road
St. Charles, IL 60175

Autumn Leaves of St. Charles is holding an in-depth, interactive experience called “Through the Alzheimer’s Looking Glass” for the public to see what it feels like to have Alzheimer’s or dementia.
The free event will allow caregivers, families and the public to go through a series of sensory deficits to simulate a loss of cognitive function.  By wearing various items over their hands, feet, ears and eyes, and performing tasks in a particular order in a dark room, participants will gain a physical understanding of Alzheimer’s.
Jane Anderson, the co-founder of Autumn Leaves memory care communities will provide a moving educational presentation.

The event includes a complimentary buffet lunch -- 12:00pm - 1:30pm

To R.S.V.P. or for more information about the event, call Anna Morgese at 630-777-0712
