'Every child should have a coat to keep warm' said Gary Riegler, President of the Rotary Club of Crystal Lake Dawnbreakers,
and that is why we sponsor the Coat-A-Kid collection and distribution program each year.

The generous families of students attending District 46, 47 and 155, St. Thomas and Immanuel Lutheran Schools donate used coats and jackets at their schools between October 16th and November 26th.
Dawnbreakers will collect the coats each week from the schools and deliver them to the Algonquin Township Office.

Distribution, for anyone who needs a coat,
will be Fridays
:     ~ Oct. 26th
                               ~ Nov 2nd
                               ~ Nov 9th
                               ~ Nov 16th
                               ~ Nov 30th
at the Algonquin Township Office (Back Building) 3702 Northwest Highway (Route 14)
        from 4:45pm  to  6:30pm

Coats go fast and people arrive early.

'Hopefully we will have some cold and snowy days arriving soon, so that families will try on their coats and jackets and decide if they fit or can be donated' said Coat-a-Kid Chair, Connee Meschini.
'We are grateful to everyone who donates.'

Community members may also donate clean coats and jackets and can drop them off at the Algonquin Township office lobby during business hours.
Although coat-a-kid was started for students, there are many parents who need outer clothing as well.
