It is in times such as these, that we as a community are called upon to help each other. One of our own, Sam Abdullai, was diagnosed with mouth cancer in July. He has undergone both radiation and chemo-therapy in order to rid the cancer. Anyone who has gone through this or has had a loved one go through this knows how much of a toll this takes on both the body and mind. For those of you who know Sam, there is no need for me to say anything – to know him is to love him. For those of you who do not know him, Sam is a good man with a great sense of humor who loves to laugh. More than that, he loves his Family, life, his restaurant, The Rolling Stones, & Karaoke. He is a hard worker, a great cook, and a proud man. Sam and his family have been part of the Huntley Community for almost 35 years and own Sammy’s Bar & Grill on Rte 47. Sam has only been able to work minimally these past couple of months & almost not at all in the re-cent days due to the fatigue and side effects caused by both the chemo and radiation. H has not been able to eat or drink and is currently being fed nutrients & fluids intravenously. We all know how quickly those medical bills pile up and we’re hoping to alleviate some of the stress that this causes as he has much to worry about already.
We hope you’ll attend our benefit.
There will be raffles, music, food & drinks.
We would ask of our friends & neighbors to please help in this time of need, where he has helped so many already.
If you have any questions regarding the benefit or donations, please call us at 847-669-9025
We hope to see you there.
