On Thursday, July 22, 2010 at approximately 1:44 a.m., the Crystal Lake Police were sent to 768 Point Drive, Crystal Lake, in response to a call of a reported home invasion. Officers met with Lee Ivy of 507 Palace Street, Aurora, who reported that a man had entered into the residence and had allegedly stabbed Ivy in the leg with a knife. Ivy was reportedly visiting a friend at the time. He was taken to Northern Illinois Medical Center and treated for a stab wound to his left thigh.
Through further investigation, it was determined that the reported incident did not occur. Lee Ivy was later arrested on 7/27/10, and charged with Disorderly Conduct (Filing a False Police Report, Class 4 felony). Ivy posted $1,000 (10%) bond before being released. He later admitted to self inflicting the wound on his leg.
